The rider

Licensed at the age of 9 with the Vendôme club, twenty racing seasons up to Elite level and more than forty wins on the road, track and in cyclo-cross. Field experience that remains the foundation of everything else.

The coach

Holding the French federal coaching certificate, he coached young riders in Annecy and trained some thirty of them, including Eugénie Mermillod, French junior champion who went on to turn professional, and Mathieu Hoejboer, who turned pro in the Netherlands and now heads performance at a leading WorldTour team.

The club president

President of the Roue d’Or Annecienne from 2008 to 2010, he led the merger of Annecy’s two historic clubs into Annecy Cyclisme Compétition. His first stage races gave him a taste for organising events.

The commissaire

Regional commissaire in 2007, national in 2008, federal timekeeper in 2010, UCI National Elite Commissaire in 2011, then UCI International Road Commissaire in 2021. He has since officiated at the biggest races: men’s and women’s Tour de France, Paris-Nice, Paris-Roubaix, European and World Championships, Olympic Games.

The entrepreneur

A software engineer by trade, he founded F2Concept in 2004, whose race management software is used across France, then co-founded VotreCourse.com, a specialist in timing professional cycling races. A rare grasp of the whole chain of a race, from entry form to official results.

The organiser

Since 2016, he has coordinated the technical and sporting side of the Tour of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Cédric FONTENEAU Management now brings this experience to major events.
